Collection: Gems - Tanzanite

A rare and beautiful transparent indigo-violet gemstone that is found in just one area near Mount Kilimanjaro – and nowhere else. The colour ranges from deep sapphire blue to violet-blue to soft lavenders and lilacs. Having first been recorded only in 1967, it is named for Tanzania, the country where it was discovered.
