Gems - Lapis

A beautiful rock, its name derives from Arabic and means ”heaven stone”. Composed of several minerals, it is treasured for its intense brilliant blue colour. For 6000 years, the most important deposit has been in the West Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan.
